CDI has begun its first international cooperation project as part of the Erasmus+ initiative European Roadmap for Inclusive Dual Training. Alongside partners from Greece and Bulgaria, the project focuses on making Dual VET more accessible for people who often remain excluded, such as migrants, people with disabilities, and those facing social or economic difficulties.
Dual VET has proven to be an effective pathway for learners to gain real skills and access employment, but many still face barriers that limit their participation. The project aims to bring more attention to this issue and to support a more inclusive and open approach to vocational training.
As the Spanish partner, CDI contributes to all stages of the project and plays a key role in the final phase. CDI will organise the international training visit and the final conference in Spain and coordinate the preparation of policy recommendations to support inclusive Dual VET at European level. CDI also helps share information about the project and works with local companies and VET providers in Andalucía to strengthen links between training and employment.
In these early months, the project has focused on an international information campaign under the motto “Add more IN into your work”, raising awareness of the potential of Dual VET to offer real opportunities for people from vulnerable groups. This is the first step in a wider roadmap that will continue with the creation of multilingual training materials and an international exchange.
The project website is now live at https://inclusiveroadmap.eu/ where readers can follow the progress and learn more about the work being carried out.
On 23 October 2025, the Empowering School Leadership Teams for Innovation (ESLTI) project (2025-1-BG01-KA220-SCH-000353474) was launched with a first project meeting in Sofia, bringing together partner organisations from Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Spain. This marks the beginning of a two-year collaboration focused on one of the most important questions in today’s schools: how to ensure that innovation does not stay temporary, but becomes part of everyday practice.
Schools across Europe often test new ideas, introduce digital tools, or adopt new approaches to teaching and learning. However, these efforts frequently lose momentum once initial projects end. Leadership teams are usually expected to keep improvements alive, yet they seldom receive structured support on how to guide change over time. ESLTI was created to address this gap by strengthening the capacity of school leaders to plan, coordinate, and sustain innovation in a practical and realistic way.
The project will work closely with leadership teams from 24 schools during the pilot phase, and later with 60 additional schools through mentoring and peer support. Its main results will include a School Team Leadership Guide for Sustainable Innovations, a training programme for leadership teams, and a set of recommendations based on the real experiences of participating schools. We aim to connect schools from Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Spain, and offer a space for shared learning and for understanding how innovation can be managed in different contexts.
The collaboration brings together a diverse group of organisations, each contributing experience in school leadership, research, professional development, or regional innovation. The consortium includes:
Cambridge Schools Association (Bulgaria) - coordinator, New Bulgarian University (Bulgaria), Združenje ravnateljev in pomočnikov ravnateljev Slovenije (Slovenia), Inkubator Savinjske regije d.o.o. (Slovenia), Federación de Enseñanza de Comisiones Obreras (Spain), and Cooperación y Desarrollo Internacional – CDI (Spain).
Updates on activities, resources, and results will be shared throughout the project on the official website: www.eslti.eu
